In 2013 peixe : avião released their third album breaking abruptly with a pop career rooted in works such as "Finjo a fazer de conta feito peixe : avião" (2007) , "40.02" (2008) and "Madrugada "(2010). Consensus between the critics and the followers of the band, "peixe : avião" (2013), proved to be the perfect return to the band.
The trajectory of exploring new sonic approach was continued with the original music composition for the classic "Ménilmontant" of Dimitri Kirsanoff (1929 movie), after an order of "Vila do Conde - International Film Festival", with replacement at the Teatro Maria Matos in Lisbon. The experience proved to be critical to the compounding period that followed, during the year 2015.
It is not therefore surprising that the subversion of the song format, the use of an instrumentation increasingly unique features and operating a simultaneously abstract and introspective lyrical, are the cornerstones of "peso morto", the name of the new 2016 album, scheduled for release in February 2016 in CD, VINIL and DIGITAL via Rastilho Records and Fnac Cultura Records.
